Grape scissors from a private collection
- Exhibition
- 5 November 2015 - 11 January 2016
The grape scissors were designed in England in Victorian times as table scissors to cut the grapes during the course of the dessert.
Often decorated with cherubs and bunches, they help us to imagine the formal table service of the second half of the XIXth century.
The exhibition consists of forty scissors made of silver, old sheffield or steel from a private collection in Turin.
